At the northern tip of the island within easy access of the
islands scenic attractions, it is situated in between the town of Nathon,
Koh Samuis commercial center and Chaweng beach, the bustling tourist
hub. These towns are located approximately 20 minutes by taxi or private
car either way from the Santiburi Resort, Bo Phut or Fishermans Village
among the oldest of Koh Samuis fishing hamlets stretching along the
coastline is some 10 minutes drive from the resort, and is a favourite
among visitors for dining out. Koh Phangan famous for its regular Full
Moon Parties is a short boat ride across from the resort.
Many
favored diving spots are within easy reach and sailing arrangements
can be made directly with the resort for a fee. Regular sailings are
usually available from the main land at Surat Thani City or ferry from
Don Sak pier. Sailing time is approximately two to three hours with
disembarkation in Nathon. Samui airport is a 15-minute drive from the
resort. Samui can be reached via regular scheduled direct flights from
Bangkok, Pattaya, Hua Hin, Phuket and Singapore
